Free Sprite Sheet Slicer
Cut any sprite sheet PNG into individual frames by frame size or by rows and columns, then download them as a ZIP or re-pack them as a horizontal or vertical strip. Everything runs in your browser, so your files never leave your device.
Drop a PNG, WebP or JPG here. Max 4096 by 4096 pixels.
How to use it
01
Drop your sheet
Drag a PNG, WebP or JPG onto the drop zone, or pick a file. Images up to 4096 by 4096 pixels are supported.
02
Set the grid
Choose frame width and height, or switch to rows and columns. Add margin and padding if your sheet has gutters. The overlay updates live.
03
Download
Get every frame as a ZIP of PNGs, or re-pack the frames into a single horizontal or vertical strip.
Frequently asked questions
Does my sprite sheet get uploaded anywhere?
No. The slicer reads your file with the browser and cuts it on a canvas. Nothing is sent to a server, and the tool works offline once the page has loaded.
How do I slice a sheet with spacing between frames?
Use margin for the empty border around the whole sheet and padding for the gap between neighboring frames. The grid overlay shows exactly where each cut lands, so you can adjust until it lines up.
What is the difference between a horizontal and a vertical strip?
A horizontal strip places all frames in one row, which is the usual format for 2D walk and attack animations. A vertical strip stacks frames in one column, which is how Terraria style NPC sheets are laid out.
Does the slicer keep transparency and pixel art crispness?
Yes. Frames are copied pixel for pixel with smoothing disabled and exported as PNG, so alpha channels and hard pixel edges are preserved.
How large can the image be?
Up to 4096 by 4096 pixels. Larger images are rejected with a clear message so your browser tab stays responsive.
