Describe a premise. Sprixen writes a full tabletop adventure and runs it live as your Dungeon Master, generating a cinematic cover, battle maps, NPC portraits, and tokens scene by scene while you play. Build your own heroes with full character sheets, then print or export to bring the whole table along.

Every adventure gets a cover
A painted cover for every adventure
Each adventure opens with cinematic key art, rendered in a style that matches its world and cast. A frozen expedition, a rain-soaked noir murder, a mad archmage's lair: each one gets its own.

A board that plays back
The AI moves the board as the story unfolds
Tokens for your party, allies, and enemies sit on a real grid-ready map. When the Dungeon Master narrates a turn, it places and moves the pieces; you can drag them too. Go ahead and try the board on the left, and give the d20 a tap.

How it works
How a session works
01
Describe a premise
A frozen expedition, a noir murder, a mad archmage's lair. A sentence or two is enough. The AI writes a full adventure: scenes, NPCs, a villain, treasure, and a cover.
02
Build or bring your heroes
Describe a character and get a full sheet: portrait, token, stats, gear and backstory. Reuse heroes across adventures or hand them to friends.
03
Play turn by turn
Type what your character does. The Dungeon Master narrates the outcome, calls for a d20 roll and a DC when the fiction asks for it, and updates the map and portraits as the scene changes.
04
Export when you're done
Print the session, or export the full adventure as JSON or plain text to keep, share, or fold into your own notes.
Solo or with a group
An AI Dungeon Master is available whenever you are, at 2am on a Tuesday or during a lunch break, with no group to schedule and no session to prep. It keeps track of stats, rolls and consequences consistently, generates a map and a face for every NPC on the spot, and never runs out of ideas for a one-shot.
A human DM still reads the room better, improvises off inside jokes and player chemistry, and carries a long campaign forward across months with the kind of continuity and homebrew depth an AI does not yet match. If your table wants a ten-session arc with a DM who remembers a throwaway line from three months ago, keep your human DM. If you want to play tonight, alone or with a couple of friends, the AI Dungeon Master is ready now.

Frequently asked questions
Is the AI Dungeon Master free to try?
Yes. New accounts get 6 free credits, no card required. A one-shot adventure costs 3 credits and each turn during play costs 0.2 credit, so a free account covers a short adventure and a good number of turns. Beyond that, Pro is $10 a month for 200 generations across every Sprixen tool, not just the Dungeon Master.
What rules system does it use?
It runs on light, system-agnostic rules: ability checks, a d20, and a difficulty class the Dungeon Master sets on the fly. It is SRD-friendly, so monster stat blocks and mechanics stay close to the free System Reference Document rather than copyrighted material. It does not require D&D Beyond, a Wizards of the Coast account, or owning any rulebook.
Can I use my own character?
Yes. Describe your character, race, class, gear, personality, and the AI writes a full sheet with a portrait, a token, ability scores and backstory. You can bring that character into any adventure, or let the Dungeon Master generate a party for you.
Can I export my adventure to Foundry or Roll20?
You can export the full adventure text and structure as JSON or plain text, and print any session to keep or share. Battle maps and portraits generated during play are standard images you can drop into any virtual tabletop. If you need a map with the grid already baked in for Foundry, the free battle map generator exports a .dd2vtt file directly.
Does it remember my campaign across sessions?
It tracks state within a single adventure: your position, the party, what has happened in that story. It does not yet carry a campaign forward across many separate adventures the way a human DM's notebook does. For a long-running campaign with deep continuity, a human DM is still the better fit.
Can I play with friends, not just solo?
Yes. Share the exported text or a printed session, or play it live at the table with one person reading turns aloud while everyone rolls dice and makes choices together. It works best for solo play and one-shots; for a group that wants to speak in character over voice chat every week, a human DM is still the smoother experience.
